If you could use one word to describe your dream wedding what would it be? If we had to choose a word to describe how we felt at Devon and Austin's wedding, it would have to be emotion. Everyone was full of emotions from the time we arrived at their homes in the morning, to the time we left the party at night. It was a great feeling because we knew we were surrounded by the people who know and love this couple the most.
We got to know Devon and Austin last year when we photographed their engagement at Longwood Gardens in Kennett Square, PA. It was a rainy day at Longwood but thankfully we had a gorgeous day for their wedding at The Manor House at Commonwealth in Horsham, PA! We can't even think of one thing that 'went wrong' at the wedding; it was probably thanks to all of Devon and Austin's hard work putting the wedding together. Austin was hands down the nicest groom you could ever ask for. At one point during cocktail hour, the couple made their way into the ballroom to see everything being put together, and we herd Austin personally thanking all the waiters and staff for all their hard work! It was barely even 24 hours after their wedding when we got a text from Austin thanking us for all our hard work on their wedding day. It's hard to call it 'work' when you are having so much fun making new friends and creating images like these! We wrapped up the evening with the one and the only Philly Phanatic making a guest appearance to dance with our bride and groom, making for some very memorable photographs that Devon and Austin will be able to cherish for years to come! Thank you for letting us be a part of the beginning of your new lives together, cheers! From the Groom: "Devon and I meet as waiter and waitress at Ruby Tuesday’s. The first time we talked, she was by the hostess stand and said “Austin why doesn’t any one ever text me?” and my response was “If I had your number I could”.... She looked at me, smirked, and walked away! The second time we were running food to the tables and I was talking about my weekend plans when fishing came up; one thing led to another I asked her to come, she said “I get sea sick” I was like.. “Standing on land?”. She started cracking up and from there we hung out that week for 7 straight nights until almost 3 am. Then, 6 months into our relationship, I had to move to Boston for work and we had to do long distance for 4 whole months! Finally a little over two years ago we decided to meet in the middle in Connecticut. We then moved from a condo because we adopted cats when we technically weren’t allowed… whoops! From there I already knew I wanted to marry her and asked her on December 28, 2017. A year and a day later we tied the knot officially!"
